SIGMA’s kijk op een geheel nieuw camera systeem
De wereld van fotografie en video is in beroering. Tegenwoordig lopen fotografen rond met zowel een hoogwaardige spiegelreflex- of systeemcamera als de camera in hun smartphone, en naargelang het doel zal men bepalen welk systeem het meest geschikt is. Daarom vroeg SIGMA zich af wat nu eigenlijk de inherente waarde van de digitale camera is.
Dat heeft ertoe geleid dat SIGMA zich ten doel heeft gesteld een gebruikersgerichte camera te ontwikkelen, waarbij de stelling “hoe een camera kan zijn” centraal heeft gestaan, zonder te conformeren aan het huidige cameralandschap.
De lichtste en kleinste fullframe systeemcamera ter wereld
De SIGMA fp is 's werelds kleinste en lichtste full-frame systeemcamera*,dit dankzij zijn totale afmetingen van 112,6 x 69.9 x 45.3mm en een gewicht - inclusief batterij - van slechts 422 gram.
De camera is gemaakt van een gegoten aluminiumlegering die voor extra robuustheid en thermische geleiding zorgt. Daarnaast is de compacte body voorzien van een heatsink en op 42 punten geseald. Daardoor is de SIGMA fp stof- en spatwaterdicht en ideaal voor gebruik in alle omstandigheden. Met zijn veelzijdige kleine body levert de SIGMA fp altijd perfecte beeldkwaliteit, ongeacht de gebruikte instellingen.

fp concept en filosofie

De SIGMA fp is de kleinst en lichtst mogelijke body waarmee iedere maker elk moment zijn creatieve ideeën tot uiting kan brengen. De camera combineert een superieure bouw met een hoogwaardige full-frame sensor die onder alle omstandigheden een compromisloze optische kwaliteit levert. Dankzij de deze kwaliteiten is de SIGMA fp de perfecte basis voor een high-performance objectievensysteem
• Schaalbaar en veelzijdig
Een 'open concept' waardoor de camera kan worden gecombineerd met zowel SIGMA-objectieven met L-mount en SIGMA accessoires als L-mount objectieven en accessoires van andere fabrikanten. De body is uiterst veelzijdig en eenvoudig aan te passen aan de persoonlijke wensen van de gebruiker, of het nu gaat om foto- of videotoepassingen. De ultieme veelzijdigheid en schaalbaarheid maken de SIGMA fp geschikt voor allerlei situaties.
• Naadloos omschakelen van foto naar video
Dankzij de zeer intuïtieve gebruikersinterface schakelt de fp-gebruiker met één beweging over van foto naar video; hierdoor is de camera een creatief hulpmiddel voor alle stijlen en genres.
Omdat SIGMA deze drie concepten allemaal en zonder compromissen wilde toepassen, werden alleen de elementen en mechanismen geselecteerd die echt noodzakelijk waren voor het maken van de SIGMA fp – de belichaming van een 'geheel nieuwe digitale camera die SIGMA nu te bieden heeft'.

Fullframe sensor
De camera is voorzien van een 35mm fullframe met 24,6 effectieve megapixels, voor foto en video op hoge resolutie en ISO-waardes van 100 tot 25600.\

L-mount
De SIGMA fp maakt gebruik van de L-mount, waardoor fp gebruikers de keuze hebben aan een breed aanbod SIGMA objectieven.

Stof- en spatwaterdicht
- Grote heatsink
Tussen het lcd-display en de camerabody bevindt zich een grote heatsink, die is geïnspireerd op de heatsinks die worden gebruikt op professionele cinemacamera's. Dankzij de combinatie met de speciale coating van de body is de warmteafvoer van de SIGMA fp zeer effectief. Dit voorkomt oververhitting bij hoge temperaturen of langdurig gebruik.
